About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Lead Technician to join our team at Republic Services. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for leading a group of technicians to ensure that all repairs and maintenance of equipment are performed in compliance with our safety standards and applicable federal and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of technicians to perform complex repair and maintenance functions on heavy-duty trucks and refuse bodywork.
  • Diagnose and repair issues with chassis components, air and hydraulic braking systems, engine repair and maintenance, suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to subordinate technicians on diagnostic techniques and repair procedures.
  • Inspect repairs done by third-party vendors to ensure compliance with our safety procedures and federal and state regulations.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
  • Ability to perform inspections and repairs without supervision in some of the following heavy truck or automotive systems: suspensions, steering, general engine, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, drive train, diesel emissions.
  • ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8) is a plus but not required.
  • Class B or higher Commercial Driver's License is a plus but not required.
  • Valid Driver's License.
