Job Summary
The JCC of Staten Island seeks a skilled Chief Financial Analyst to lead its Accounting Department. As part of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information.

About You
We are looking for an individual with excellent analytical skills, who can work independently and set priorities effectively. Your attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and reconciliation of daily deposits.
  • Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts.
  • Fiscal administration of various City, State, and private foundation grants.
  • Income Analysis.
  • Assist with preparation for audits.
  • Work with auditors on confirmations.
  • Responsible for special projects as assigned.
  • Interface with department heads on fiscal matters.
  • Assist with Agency budgeting process as needed.
  • Work with program staff to ensure statistical compliance.
  • Reconcile and perform grant closeout functions required by contracts administration and sponsors.
  • Prepare, review, enter journal entries, analyze and correct discrepancies to ensure accuracy and serve as financial liaison during Audit process.
  • Ensure adherence to guidelines and policies as well as monitor financial and programmatic status of assigned grants.
  • Ensure integrity of accounting information by compiling, verifying, and reconciling transactions and information necessary for monthly closing process.
  • Monitor fiscal compliance of grant programs and services and ensure accuracy of all fiscal procedures and reporting.
  • Prepare, review, enter journal entries, analyze and correct discrepancies to ensure accuracy and completeness of the GL.

Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Accounting.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, accounting, and database software.

Compensation
$45,000-$55,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
