Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Inspector to join our team at Johnson Controls. This role involves conducting routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance on life safety product lines, including fire alarms and sprinklers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in low voltage electrical systems and a proven track record of troubleshooting complex issues. They should also possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance on life safety product lines
  • Identify and repair deficiencies as per NFPA code
  • Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices for the operation of low voltage equipment
  • Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding through communication devices
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years documented experience in low voltage electrical systems
  • Fire and/or Life Safety Systems experience required
  • Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage
  • A valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements
