The Good Samaritan Society is a not-for-profit organization with over 100 years of experience in providing quality care and services to seniors. We are currently seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team at our facility in Waukon, IA.
SalaryWe offer a competitive salary range of $31.00 - $49.50 per hour, with a weekly hours requirement of 40.00 hours. Additionally, we provide a sign-on bonus of $10,000 - $20,000.
About the JobThis is a full-time position that requires assessing clients/patients/residents and designing occupational therapy treatments. The successful candidate will have the ability to help clients/patients/residents develop, maintain and recover their ability to perform tasks in their daily lives. This includes evaluating physical, cognitive, developmental and psychosocial abilities, developing realistic therapy goals and administering appropriate occupational therapy programs.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate clients/patients/residents to identify functional, cognitive or behavioral impairments.
- Design and implement occupational therapy treatments to address identified needs.
- Document client's/patient's/resident's information for evaluation, establish therapeutic plans and modify them if necessary.
- Provide education to clients/patients/residents to enhance understanding and improve functional outcomes.
To be considered for this role, you must have an appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure, and be licensed in the state(s) of practice as an Occupational Therapist. Certification through the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is also preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers is required within the first 60 days of employment.
