We are seeking an experienced and compassionate leader to join our team as an Assistant Director of Starting Point: Mobile Psychiatric Rehabilitation.

Job Description

As an Assistant Director, you will play a critical role in the daily operations of our program. Your primary responsibilities will include supervising lead practitioners, practitioners, and certified peer specialists, ensuring the timely completion of Individualized Rehabilitation Plans, and coordinating with staff from managed care, the county office, and other mental health professionals. You will also assist in the intake process for new referrals, develop case reviews and staff training processes, and support lead practitioners in implementing the orientation process for new staff. Additionally, you will coordinate the staffing, documentation, and coordination of our emergency on-call process and help ensure that our services are in compliance with Access Services' established policies and procedures.

Essential Functions:
  • Supervise lead practitioners, practitioners, and certified peer specialists on a weekly basis, and interns as applicable.
  • Help ensure that the Individualized Rehabilitation Plan (IRP) for each individual is appropriate and completed in a timely manner.
  • Interface with staff from managed care, the county office, and others across the mental health system in cross-service team meetings.
  • Assist in the intake process for new referrals and assist in connecting new referrals with their Practitioner.
  • Assist with the development of case reviews and staff training process.
  • Support lead practitioners in implementing the orientation process for new staff.
  • Coordinate the staffing, documentation, and coordination of the program's emergency on-call process.
  • Help ensure that practitioners are working toward the appropriate number of billable hours.
  • Help ensure that our services are in compliance with Access Services' established policies and procedures.
  • Carry a caseload, as necessary.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance, and work scheduled overtime, or be available for unplanned overtime as necessary, to meet program needs.

Requirements

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Two years' work experience in mental health direct services
Certification:
  • Successful completion of Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP) certification within 12 months of hire.
  • Complete twelve-hour psychiatric rehabilitation orientation course required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of the philosophy, values, and practices in psychiatric rehabilitation services.
  • Knowledge of the helping relationship, the recovery model, and basic concepts of therapeutic intervention.
  • Knowledge of person-centered planning and the ability to help individuals meet their plan objectives.
  • Knowledge of pertinent community resources and facilities.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with county and state officials, individuals, their families, and the general public.
  • Ability to plan, supervise, and direct the work of others.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting laws, rules, and policies governing Access Services.
  • Ability to express ideas succinctly, both orally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in, or ability to learn and use, workplace applications, platforms, and technologies.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $48,000 to $50,000, based on education and related work experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, vision, and dental insurance, HSA/FSA, 401(k) program, tuition reimbursement, student loan assistance, 29 days of PTO, mileage/toll reimbursement, paid travel time between worksites, life insurance, short/long-term disability, catastrophic sick leave, paid parental leave, employee assistance program, and referral bonuses up to $750 per hire.
