Business Development Director for Emerging Biotech and Health Tech

About the Role
OMNY Health is seeking a seasoned Director of Business Development to lead our growth initiatives within the life sciences and health tech sector.
This strategic role requires a dynamic and experienced professional with a proven track record in selling software solutions to life sciences organizations and health tech companies.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of claims and electronic health record (EHR) data, enabling them to drive our business development efforts and establish strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive revenue growth in the emerging biotech and health tech market.
- Identify and engage with prospective clients, leveraging a consultative sales approach to understand their needs and present tailored software solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in emerging biotech organizations and health tech companies.
- Own the entire sales process from end to end from lead generation to execution and ongoing support of the account.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development and marketing, to ensure alignment and effective delivery of our value proposition.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Lead negotiations and close deals that align with the company's objectives and revenue targets.
- Represent OMNY Health at industry conferences and events to promote our brand and solutions.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in business development or sales, specifically selling software solutions into the life sciences and health tech sector.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong understanding of claims and EHR data, with the ability to communicate its value to clients.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a knack for building lasting relationships.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and develop effective business strategies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
