Pinnacle GI Partners prioritizes employee satisfaction as a key element of our success. We are currently looking for Call Center Agents to join our team. This role involves managing incoming calls and directing them to the correct department. The individual will be responsible for efficiently scheduling various procedures, optimizing resource allocation, and avoiding scheduling conflicts. Additionally, this position serves as a liaison between physician offices and other departments within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer incoming calls, schedule procedures and appointments, and inform patients about necessary preparations.
  • Accurately obtain and input patient information into the relevant systems.
  • Screen and forward calls, as well as take messages.
  • Verify insurance carriers to ensure participation in plans.
  • Update and enter new insurance information as required.
  • Correct and update patient details to maintain data integrity.
  • Utilize standard office equipment such as computers, copiers, and fax machines.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Keep management informed of any unusual situations that arise during patient scheduling.
  • Prepare copies of all necessary paperwork for personal and departmental use.

Communication with Physicians:
  • Coordinate with physicians regarding their scheduling preferences.
  • Set priorities and demonstrate sound judgment while adapting to daily schedule changes and physician requests.
  • Work independently and efficiently under pressure, managing multiple interruptions with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology.
  • Experience in a private medical office setting is preferred.
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screening is mandatory.

Minimum Competencies:
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Demonstrated accuracy and efficiency in tasks.
  • Capability to read and comprehend patient medical charts, medical terminology, prescription medications, and physician messages.
  • Strong computer skills, with familiarity in interpreting EMR systems being advantageous.
  • Previous experience in scheduling is preferred.
