About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Trainer Coordinator to join our team at Northwell Health. This individual will be responsible for coordinating laboratory sessions, educational workshops, and research activities related to bioskills surgical training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Coordinate laboratory sessions for residents, fellows, and physicians, ensuring smooth execution of procedures and optimal learning outcomes.">
  • Prepare and assemble instruments, supplies, and equipment in accordance with scheduled sessions, guaranteeing proper functioning and safe use.">
  • Distribute necessary supplies and materials to participants before each session, maintaining a high level of organization and efficiency.">
  • Verify that all equipment is in good working order, replacing malfunctioning units as needed to prevent disruptions during procedures.">
  • Maintain strict infection control measures and adhere to sterilization standards throughout each procedure, prioritizing the safety of patients and staff.">
  • Set up and operate audiovisual and teleconferencing equipment during laboratory activities, ensuring seamless communication and knowledge sharing.">
  • Perform thorough turnover activities between sessions, effectively cleaning and resetting equipment for the next group of participants.">
  • Update and maintain various laboratory and equipment files, manuals, and records, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.">
  • Collaborate in developing, conducting, and evaluating programs to meet the training needs of interprofessional personnel, documenting outcomes and reporting findings.">
  • Perform additional duties as required, contributing to the overall success of the team.">

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.">
  • 1-3 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a medical training environment.">
