About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee all logistics operations at our Distribution Center in Austin, ensuring seamless processing of incoming and outgoing inventory according to schedule. The successful candidate will identify inefficiencies, maintain workflow protocols, and drive capacity planning, distribution center pace, warehouse inventory, and 3PL relations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a culture of continuous improvement and change management.
  • Collaborate with National Carriers and US Customs on import requirements and support Finance with billing discrepancies.
  • Work closely with Business Operations in logistical operations.
  • Assess current processes for efficiency improvements.
  • Audit, control, and report inventory.
  • Establish efficient warehouse practices and protocols.
  • Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives for staff.
  • Communicate with departments to ensure timely product shipping.
  • Monitor quality, cost, and efficiency of goods movement and storage.
  • Identify areas for cost reductions and implement strategies.
  • Analyze data for performance monitoring and plan improvements.
  • Solve logistical challenges and develop new solutions.
  • Drive strategic reviews and analysis with 3PL's to understand capacity & financial opportunities and risks.

  • Strong leadership skills, discipline, process, and control.
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing, speaking, and active listening.
  • Great interpersonal skills and ability to contribute to world-class customer experience during Customer Audits and External Certification Audits.
  • Good project management skills, including decision-making, problem-solving, and strategic planning.
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills.
  • In-depth understanding of industry best practices for warehouses.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management operations and inventory control methods in a distribution environment.
  • Good understanding of internal and external customer requirements.
  • Financial, analytical, contract knowledge, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy under tight deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge in all areas of import/export, regulatory, and logistics management.
  • Ability to effectively manage material handling staff.
  • Basic computer applications knowledge, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and business applications.
  • Experience utilizing an ERP system, preferably NetSuite.
Physical Demands
  • Physical strength, stamina, and ability to walk or stand for long periods in a distribution environment.
Experience and Education
  • 3-5 years of related work experience.
  • Prior supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
