Job Title: Summer Associate - Project Finance

Join Rabobank Wholesale Banking North America as a Summer Associate - Project Finance and contribute to the growth of our Project Finance Americas team. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on structuring and executing renewable energy project financing transactions, gaining exposure to a broad range of technologies and transaction structures.

About the Role:

The Summer Associate - Project Finance will be responsible for reviewing and executing finance opportunities in the Energy Transition sector, working on projects to enhance the expertise of the team on relevant current themes in the renewables industry. Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as an essential deal team member in structuring and executing renewable energy financing transactions
  • Building relationships within the organization and industry stakeholders
  • Gaining and sharing expertise on various renewable energy technologies and financing structures
  • Reviewing and analyzing technical reports, insurance reports, and financial models
Responsibilities:

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Constructing and evaluating financial models for renewable energy projects and other project finance transactions
  • Understanding key financing risks and recommending mitigants to alleviate such risks
  • Reviewing key project documents, including Power Purchase Agreements, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Agreements, and Operations and Maintenance Agreements
  • Reviewing financing agreements
  • Assessing transmission, market, independent engineering, appraisal, and insurance consultant reports
  • Drafting internal transaction documents and credit memos
Requirements:

To be considered for the Summer Associate - Project Finance role, you must have:

  • At least one year of work experience that involves financial modeling
  • Basic knowledge in project finance and key risk factors in project finance transactions
  • Previous experiences in investment banking, investment research, or renewable energy project development is preferred
  • Be passionate about renewable energy and the broader Energy Transition
  • Be currently enrolled in a graduate program

Salary Expectations:

The target hiring range for this position is $75.60/Hour. This position is subject to the terms of Rabobank's compensation plans and policies.
