Medical Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team at Bryan Health's Trauma Clinic. As a Radiology Technologist, you will perform diagnostic x-ray procedures under the supervision of a qualified physician.
About the Role- Perform diagnostic x-ray procedures for patients, using x-ray technology and techniques to assist in diagnosis.
- Prepare patients for x-rays, explain procedures, and prepare equipment and materials as needed.
- Position patients, arrange immobilization and support devices, and practice radiation protection techniques.

- Perform clinic reception duties, including greeting patients, registration, and answering phone calls.
- Prepare room, equipment, and materials for x-ray procedures, explaining procedures to patients and families.
- Position patients, use immobilization and support devices, and ensure proper radiation safety.
- Adjust equipment controls, determine proper voltage and exposure time, and administer routine x-ray exams.
- Observe patients and machines during procedures, reporting unusual occurrences to physicians.
- Document procedures performed in patient records.
- Maintain CD library of x-rays, retrieve and log x-rays requested or copied for patients or referring physicians.
- Clean and disinfect x-ray rooms and equipment, maintain inventory, and order x-ray supplies.
- Perform x-ray quality assurance tests and maintain records.
- Transmit x-ray images to radiology groups for interpretation, complete follow-up, and ensure hard copy reports are given to physicians.
- Report any problems with x-ray equipment promptly to physicians, notify Office Supervisors, and contact service vendors as directed.
- Turn in personal radiology exposure badges for evaluation as required by state law.
- Perform other related projects and duties as assigned.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technologist program.
- Current certification by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).
The estimated salary for this role is $$65,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
