Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Pathologist to join our Special Education team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to provide targeted interventions and instruction to students with communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized plans to address students' communication needs
  • Provide direct services to students in small group or individual settings, using both push-in and pull-out models
  • Develop and implement data-driven treatment plans to improve students' receptive and expressive language skills
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including progress monitoring and evaluation data
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to integrate speech and language services into the general education curriculum
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Massachusetts teaching certification/licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Experience working with students with communication disorders, particularly those with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities
  • Possess strong written and oral communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $ $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Salem Public Schools offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
