Job Summary

Rod's House is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for young adults experiencing homelessness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with young adults to build trust and rapport
  • Collaborate with case managers and program coordinators to develop individualized support plans
  • Connect young adults with community resources and services to meet their basic needs
  • Respond to and de-escalate crisis situations in a trauma-informed manner
  • Participate in daily housekeeping duties and maintain a clean and safe living environment
  • Assist with daily operations, including meal preparation and transportation
  • Attend weekly staff meetings and participate in ongoing training and professional development

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least 1 year of experience working with youth or young adults, preferably in a homeless services setting
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Bilingual (Spanish-English) preferred
