Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, edit, and review a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, correspondence, memoranda, motions, and briefs across various jurisdictions.
  • Engage in communication with courts, clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel regarding hearings, depositions, trials, and other legal meetings.
  • Assist in the organization, production, and monitoring of discovery requests and responses.
  • Possess a solid understanding of electronic filing processes and requirements for federal, state, and local courts.
  • Establish and maintain client and administrative files in accordance with firm protocols, including within the document management system.
  • Coordinate scheduling of appointments, including meeting invitations, video conferencing details, conference room bookings, and meal arrangements, while managing the attorney's calendar.
  • Record and submit attorney's billable hours in line with firm policies. Review billing statements from the Accounting Department for accuracy.
  • Conduct initial conflict checks, manage client matters, and prepare engagement agreements.
  • Track case deadlines and collaborate with the Docket Department to ensure compliance with timelines.
  • Organize travel arrangements and monitor travel expenses for prompt reimbursement.
  • Maintain professional and timely communication with both internal and external clients to uphold a high standard of customer service, reflecting the Firm's commitment to excellence.

Additional Duties:

  • Actively participate as a member of the practice group support team.
  • Complete the Legal Technology Core Competencies Certification Coalition (LTC4) Program to enhance technological proficiency.
  • Stay updated on the use of all firm systems and operational practices.
  • May involve overtime or weekend work as needed.
  • Perform other office support tasks as assigned.
