About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Truck Driver to join our team at Performance Foodservice. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of food products to our customers across the country.

Job Summary

This is a dynamic opportunity for a skilled truck driver to work with a leading food distributor, driving a tractor-trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering food and food-related products to designated locations, adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety standards;
  • Maintaining effective communication with customers, vendors, and co-workers, ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner;
  • Performing pre- and post-trip safety checks, inspecting the tractor/truck and trailer to ensure they meet company safety standards;
  • Loading and unloading cargo safely and efficiently, including handling pallets and product cases of varying size and weight;
