Correctional Health Services Nurse Position in NYC

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Professional Nurse to join our Correctional Health Services team in NYC. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with physicians to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will have a valid New York State license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse. They will also hold a valid and current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA). In addition, they will have demonstrated clinical competence and leadership traits, with a minimum of one year of clinical nursing practice experience preferred.
About the Job:
- This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work every other weekend.
- You will assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain accurate medical records.
- You will administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients and advise them on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- You will also coordinate and assign duties to other healthcare personnel, such as licensed practical nurses, nursing aides, and patient care associates.
Educational Requirements:
A baccalaureate degree in nursing is preferred, but not required. You must hold a valid New York State license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse.
