Job OverviewAt Alta Science & Engineering, we are dedicated to improving the environment and community infrastructure in the inland northwest. As a Civil Drafter/CADD Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our civil and environmental engineering consulting projects.
Salary Range$55,000 - $68,000 per year (dependent on experience)
Responsibilities- Collaborate with engineers to develop plans and specifications for grading and drainage, municipal roadways and utilities, reclamation and habitat restoration.
- Produce high-quality plan sets that include georeferenced imagery, alignments, surfaces, third-party information, and other features of civil design packages.
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other software to generate detailed plan sets.
- Assist in preparing project deliverables, such as technical reports, memoranda, design documents, and bid packages, to effectively communicate design methods, technical justification, and project status to clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain exceptional professionalism during interactions with Alta staff, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Provide timely communication with supervisors regarding work-related matters.
- Promote good Health and Safety practices within the organization.
- Associate degree in civil drafting or a related field; bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a similar field is preferred.
- Experience preparing construction plan sets following various agency standards.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in civil drafting, including earthwork, grading plans, and utilities.
- Understanding of coordinate systems and ability to import third-party data into CAD software.
- Expertise with AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
