About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technician to join our team at the County of San Bernardino, CA. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist medical staff with surgical procedures in the operating room
  • Check and prepare supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures
  • Set up sterile tables with instruments, sutures, and other necessary items
  • Count and verify sponges, needles, and instruments with the circulator
  • Inventory and manage supplies and equipment used in surgical procedures
  • Gown and glove surgeons, assistants, and other operating room staff
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a Surgical Technology program within the past two years
  • OR six months of experience assisting surgeons and medical staff in an acute care operating room or outpatient surgery center
  • Current Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification as a Certified Surgical Technician (CST)
  • Experience in trauma care
