A key member of the dental team, the Dental Hygienist - Clinical Affairs plays a vital role in promoting optimal oral health through preventive clinical services, education, and therapy.


Key Responsibilities:

Collecting and reviewing patient and clinical data, identifying contraindications, and requesting medical clearance as necessary. Performing oral cancer screenings and perio assessments, charting dental findings.

Maintaining a sterile environment in the operatory, inspecting instruments for sterility, and practicing universal precautions.

Providing clinical services by exposing radiographs, performing dental cleanings, scaling and root planning with local anesthesia, dispensing fluoride, and administering therapeutic agents.

Educating patients on home care, oral hygiene instructions, and reviewing treatment plans.

Assisting the front desk with confirmation calls, sending reminder cards, ordering hygiene supplies, and filling open appointments due to cancellation.


Requirements:

Vocational/Associate's Degree Required, Bachelor's Degree Preferred, and 1-3 years of work experience.
