Fixed Wing Pilot Augmentation Specialist

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled Fixed Wing pilot to join our team as a Reserve Pilot Position. As a key member of our WASS Operations team, you will be based at home but required to travel frequently for training and deployment to various locations within the United States and abroad.

• Maintain aircraft currency requirements in accordance with government regulations.
• Deploy routinely OCONUS to augment sites with manning requirements.
• Prepare or oversee flight plans, considering factors like altitude, terrain, weather, range, weight, airport facilities, and navigation aids.
• Ensure proper loading, distribution, and security of cargo and passengers, verifying the aircraft's weight and balance conform to prescribed limits.
• Log aircraft flight time, file and close flight plans, and prepare flight and duty time records.
• Conduct passenger briefings prior to each take-off.
• Assist in identifying training needs, planning, administering, and overseeing academic programs for Fixed Wing crew members.
• Evaluate training program effectiveness and present reports and recommendations to management.
• Support recruitment efforts by identifying qualified candidates for hire.
• Stay current with FAA regulations and ensure compliance with all state and local policies, standards, procedures, and laws governing aviation.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1,500 total fixed wing flight hours including 500 hours of turbine engine time.
• FAA Commercial and Instrument Airmans Certificate Airplane, MEL.
• FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
• Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
• Successful completion of FAA Type Rating in the selected type required before assignment.
• Within 90 days of achieving FAA type rating, complete fixed wing aircraft, DHC-8, Readiness Level, RL, training.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally for up to 180 days annually.
• Minimum 250 hours multi-engine pilot-in-command time.
• Must obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance.
