Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, Infectious Disease Clinic. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with healthcare professionals, and contributing to the efficient operation of the clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical support to healthcare professionals, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with procedures.
  • Conduct patient interviews, record medical histories, and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Administer medications, perform basic laboratory tests, and assist with patient education.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and efficient clinic operations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program required.
  • Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent required.
  • Valid BLS CPR certification required.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a CMA in a clinical setting preferred.
