Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Cleveland Clinic's Martin North Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to diagnose and treat patients effectively, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department
  • Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care based on individual needs and resource availability
  • Respond to data indicating risk to patients' health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk
  • Document patient care in medical records
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or willingness to obtain within one year of employment
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or willingness to obtain within one year of employment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Physical Requirements:
  • Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range
  • Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours
  • Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids
Personal Protective Equipment:
  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
