Painter Craftsman

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at Brown & Root Industrial Services. This role involves applying protective coatings to various surfaces, ensuring a high-quality finish and adhering to all safety and project rules.

Responsibilities:

• Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray machines.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning dirt, oil, and grease, removing old paint and wall coverings, filling and smoothing cracks and holes.
• Demonstrate knowledge of paint materials and types required for different surfaces, such as plaster, wood, brick, and metal.
• Maintain a good eye for color to mix and match paints effectively.
• Comply with all safety and project rules, performing other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum age of 18.
• Ability to work well with hands, judge colors, and understand different application techniques.
• Working knowledge of tool care and safe handling of paint, solvents, and adhesives.
• Physical ability to work for extended periods with arms raised overhead.
