Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Neuro-Oncologist to join our team at the Children's Hospital of Richmond, part of the Virginia Commonwealth University Health System.

About the Position

The successful candidate will provide continuity of care for new and existing patients in the Pediatric Neuro-Oncology section, working closely with an outstanding team of neurosurgeons and neuroradiology experts. The division is part of the NCI-designated Massey Cancer Center and offers a Pediatric Hematology-Oncology fellowship with support for a fourth year.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching: Faculty member will have teaching responsibilities in Critical Care Medicine, providing mentorship to medical students, residents, and Fellows.
  • Research: Faculty member will have working knowledge in basic research methods and participate in clinical, translational, and outcomes research.
  • Service: Faculty member will serve on departmental, hospital, or School of Medicine level committees, as well as professional activities through journal review and conference presentations.
  • Clinical: Faculty member will serve as a pediatric neuro-oncologist for the Department of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Hematology Oncology.
Requirements
  • Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in an academic medical center.
