Job Description:

We are seeking a proficient laboratory chemist to contribute to our reagent production division. This role involves working within a team dedicated to the creation of intricate reagent sets essential for the accurate analysis of biomolecules. The position demands strong problem-solving abilities, effective collaboration, time management skills, and a dedication to excellence in practical chemistry.

This position is based in a wet lab environment, requiring adeptness in utilizing laboratory equipment and materials, alongside a keen attention to detail to uphold our quality standards.

Responsibilities:


Enhance the quality of DNA products through process optimization and design modifications aimed at reducing: Out of Box Quality (OBQ) defects and manufacturing errors.

Oversee the daily operations of the FLIPR production cell, ensuring quality, timely delivery, inventory management, and productivity.

Implement consistent process controls across various product lines utilizing methodologies such as: 3P - Production Preparation Process, VRK - Variation Reduction, and SWK - Standard Work.

Identify problems, conduct root cause analysis, and develop, verify, and implement corrective actions.

Manage non-conforming materials and generate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) for manufacturing-related modifications.

Provide support for other product lines including IMAP, Catchpoint, FLIPR, and BT as needed.

Qualifications Required:

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field. Practical experience in a manufacturing setting is advantageous.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to document and convey technical information clearly.

Capability to work effectively in cross-functional teams as well as independently.

Quick adaptability to new projects and challenges.

Innovative thinker with strong troubleshooting capabilities.

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Willingness to work overtime when necessary.

Desirable:

Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles.

Experience in developing analytical methods for data collection and analysis.
