Aerospace Medicine Specialist

Responsibilities include providing outpatient health care to qualifying beneficiaries, maintaining a program of comprehensive health for the family unit, and serving as the primary care manager for a panel of patients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Examination of patients, formulation differential diagnostic plans, and interpretation of examination findings and test results.
- Implementation of treatment plans, determining need for consultation, and assisting in medical care and treatment provided at the direction of other specialists.
- Approving/disapproving subspecialty referrals, answering patient telephone consults with the assistance of clinic staff, and providing primary and secondary preventive maintenance care.
Requirements:
- Possesses a Doctor of Medicine degree or a Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an approved school of medicine or osteopathy.
- Successful completion of an accredited Family Medicine Residency and a minimum of 35 hours of direct patient care in the past year.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in the last 10 years having served as a privilege flight surgeon at a US Military installation.
- Current, unrestricted medical license from any state and current board certification in Aerospace Medicine is highly recommended.
