Lead Diesel Technician Job Description

The Diesel Fleet Maintenance Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our fleet diesel equipment. With 5-7 years of hands-on experience, this position oversees major and minor repairs, preventing downtime and maintaining efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform thorough inspections and preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Diagnose complex technical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to ensure prompt and effective repair.
  • Mentor less experienced technicians, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance overall team performance.
  • Document all work orders and repairs thoroughly, utilizing the online Enterprise Asset Management system to track and analyze maintenance data.

This position requires a high level of technical expertise, as well as strong communication and leadership skills.
