Job Summary:

The Calibration Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the production of Certified Reference Materials used as Calibration and Reference Standards in Lighthouse Instruments Headspace Gas Analyzer product lines. This role requires strong technical writing and communication skills, as well as the ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and supervise the production of Certified Reference Materials to meet defined lead times or department needs.
  • Lead a team responsible for creating Certified Reference Materials, including participating in the production process and conducting quality analysis.
  • Support lab staff in the recertification process of customer Calibration and Reference Standards.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Department to develop the current Quality System towards ISO Standards.
  • Develop Glass Blowing and Torch Work skillset.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated supervisory and team-building experience.
  • High Mechanical and Scientific Aptitude.
  • Exceptional technical writing and communication skills.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Ability to quickly conceptualize and troubleshoot complex systems.

Education and Experience:

  • 5+ Years of Related Experience.
  • BS Physical Science or Equivalent Years of Applicable Experience.
  • Working Knowledge of Vacuum Pumps and Systems.
  • Calibration, Instrumentation, and/or Metrology experience.

Success Factors:

  • Highly motivated and self-driven.
  • Customer service oriented both internally and externally with high-level interpersonal and relationship skills.
  • Active listening and clear communication skills.
  • Effective problem analysis and resolution skills.
