As a CDL A Truck Driver at US Foods, you will play a crucial role in safely delivering food products to customers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. This position offers competitive pay, a strong safety culture, and opportunities for growth.
CompensationThe estimated annual salary for this role is between $58,304 and $66,688, depending on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law.
You will also receive overtime compensation and a Retention bonus.
Job DescriptionThis position involves:
- Safely driving trucks to customers and meeting scheduled customer delivery times.
- Loading and unloading products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand, and placing them in designated customer storage areas.
- Verifying accuracy of delivery with customers and obtaining proper signatures.
- Handling collections and payments from customers when applicable.
- Providing professional customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience.
- Performing all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.
To be successful in this role, you must:
- Have a valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
- Be at least 21 years old.
- Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse*
- Have a minimum of six months commercial driving experience (any industry) or three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry.
- Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations.
- Be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and enter information on reports and records.
