Cybersecurity Architect for Semiconductor Industry

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a seasoned Cybersecurity Architect to join our Information Security team at Applied Materials, Inc. A global leader in materials engineering solutions, we produce virtually every new chip and advanced display in the world.

The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security of our products with embedded software, adhering to strict security standards while partnering closely with product group stakeholders. This position requires a strong foundation in understanding product security policies and procedures, as well as excellent analytical and presentation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with various stakeholder groups to promote a culture of security and ensure secure product design.
  • Implement and integrate secure by design and secure by default concepts across product teams.
  • Provide technical advice on secure product design requirements.
  • Identify gaps in vulnerability management and incident response workflows, leading process optimization efforts.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT Security.
  • Minimum 6 to 8 years of experience in product security.
  • Understanding of threat modeling, security vulnerabilities, attacker exploit techniques, and remediation methods.
  • DevSecOps concepts, cloud native services, and experience with information security vulnerability management, incident response, application security, and/or product security.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

**Benefits:**

  • Estimated salary: $132,000 - $181,500 per year.

**Additional Information:**

  • This is a full-time position with potential travel (10% of the time).
  • Relocation is not eligible.
