Position Overview

We are in search of a dedicated professional who is passionate about enhancing the lives of individuals and families facing challenges related to substance use and mental health. This role is crucial for effective service delivery within the Community Supports Team and aims to significantly improve the quality of life for those we assist.

Key Responsibilities

The Substance Abuse Professional will work under the guidance of the Team Lead to provide support to individuals identified as needing ongoing treatment for substance use issues alongside mental health conditions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with community partners.
  • Monitoring and managing symptoms while providing education on substance use to facilitate recovery.
  • Encouraging participation in positive recreational activities and skill-building opportunities to support sustained recovery.
  • Performing assessments to establish effective crisis intervention strategies and ensuring continuity of care through necessary authorizations.

Collaboration and Growth

You will have the chance to exercise professional autonomy while working closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team. Your role will also involve fostering community engagement and collaboration with various behavioral health resources to enhance service delivery.

Qualifications

To be considered for this impactful position, candidates should possess:
  • A Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Full or provisional licensure in the state of North Carolina.

Required Certifications/Licenses: CCS, CCAS, CDAS, LCAS, LCAS-A.
