About the Role:

Morehouse School of Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Research Diet Technician to join our team. As a Research Diet Technician, you will provide support in research meal preparation and dietary analysis, as well as coordinate the assembling of food for preparation of research diets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain kitchen safety and sanitation standards according to Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), local environmental health agency, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
  • Assist the Bionutrition Core Manager with administering dietary recalls, food surveys, food procurement, and other nutrition-related activities.
  • Apply knowledge of clinical research structure, relevant federal, state, and local regulations, principles of dietetics, operation of precision balances, and Microsoft Word and Excel at a basic level.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in Dietetics from a regionally accredited college or university or 2 years of college education in nutrition, dietetics, culinary arts.
  • 1-2 years of related experience within the food service industry (hospital, clinic, or research setting).
  • Availability for weekend scheduling required.
