Staff IT Infrastructure Specialist

Job Summary
The State of New Mexico is seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. This position plays a vital role in maintaining, administering, and securing the state's enterprise IT infrastructure for all business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support areas of compute, storage, virtual software, and backups
- Ensure services are available by monitoring system alerts
- Collaborate with business units and IT units to resolve technical issues
Requirements
- Experience with Windows Server 2016 and above
- Knowledge of Microsoft services such as Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
- Experience supporting VMware vSphere version 8
- Experience with troubleshooting basic OSI model layers and providing technical support
- Experience with security software and user permissions
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or similar technical degree and four years of experience
Working Conditions
This position is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Occasional travel to remote locations may be required.
