Job Summary:

As a Medical Assistant at Cleveland Clinic, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our healthcare team. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your medical and administrative skills to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

Responsibilities:

Assist with performing screening and treatments by gathering information related to health maintenance, collecting specimens, performing tests, and documenting patient care.
Update health maintenance at patient visit, accurately identify medication changes and update allergy information at each visit.
Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition. Administer specific medications under direction of provider.
Maintain equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
Maintain examination areas.
Assist in pre-visit planning by updating the health maintenance tab.
Perform administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient duties as assigned.

Requirements:

High School Graduate or Equivalent.
Registered or Certified Medical Assistant.
Previous physician office experience required.
Practice Management System and EMR experience preferred.

Work Environment:

This role requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. You must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. The physical demands of this role include manual dexterity to operate office equipment, may require extended periods of standing, walking, or sitting, good visual acuity through normal or corrected vision, and light work exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly.
