Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our team at Trapper's Sushi Hawks Prairie. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our customers and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Collect and Process Kitchenware: Collect used dishes, plates, and utensils from dining and kitchen areas, and load them into washing machines.
  • Operate Dishwashing Machines: Load and unload dishwashing machines, ensuring they are functioning properly and reporting any technical issues to management.
  • Hand Wash and Sanitize: Wash specific items by hand, such as rice pots, large cookware, and delicate glassware, and sanitize all kitchen equipment and utensils.
  • Store and Restock: Store clean dishes, glasses, and equipment in designated areas, and ensure that clean items are adequately stocked during peak hours.
  • Maintain Cleaning Supplies: Monitor and maintain cleaning supplies, including detergents, and report any shortages to management.
  • Garbage Removal and Sanitation: Remove garbage regularly and dispose of it according to store procedures, and clean and sanitize the kitchen area, bathrooms, and restaurant lobby area as assigned.
  • Adhere to Sanitation Rules: Demonstrate and uphold all Trapper's Sushi core values, including attention to detail and adherence to sanitation rules.
Requirements
  • Work Experience: Previous experience as a Dishwasher or in a similar restaurant capacity.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Ability to follow instructions, help with various tasks as needed, and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Time Management and Attention to Detail: Strong time management skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Education and Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent, and a valid Washington State Food Worker Card (required before the first day of work).
Physical Demands

The employee must regularly lift items up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 20 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand throughout their shift, walk, reach with hands and arms in front of the body, lift, twist, and crouch occasionally.
