We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Hospice Nurse to join our team at Ethos Home Health Care and Hospice. As a Hospice Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to individuals with terminal illnesses, working closely with families and other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless and supportive experience.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments of patients and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
- Provide skilled nursing care, including administering medications, wound care, and pain management.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records, adhering to regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth and efficient care experience.
- Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the states of Minnesota and North Dakota.
- Must obtain CPR certification within 6 months from date of hire.
- Must have a valid driver's license and use of an insured personal vehicle.
- Must have adequate computer skills.
- Abide by the HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) privacy policy as administered by Ethos.
- Must complete and pass a state required background study.
- Able to physically perform the duties required by the position.
- Required to have the ability to read, write and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, clients and families.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent contact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on providing exceptional patient care and customer service.
