Patient Care Coordinator RN Leader

Memorial Health University Medical Center, a leading acute care facility in southeast Georgia and southern South Carolina, seeks a skilled Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. As a CNC RN, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality patient-centered care and coordinating all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift.

Our 600+ bed hospital has provided quality healthcare services since 1955, giving patients access to highly-trained physicians and advanced technology. We are a regional referral center for heart care, cancer care, trauma care, childrens care, high-risk pregnancies, and high-risk newborn care. Our hospital includes the regions only Level I trauma center and childrens hospital, as well as the Savannah campus of Mercer University School of Medicine.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer an attractive compensation package, with an estimated salary range of $95,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide comprehensive benefits, including medical coverage, dental and vision plans, life and disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, and more. Job Responsibilities
As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) Registered Nurse (RN), your key responsibilities will include:
• Assisting with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient-centered care.
• Participating in ongoing assessments of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
• Collaborating with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
• Supporting a patient-first philosophy and engaging in service recovery when necessary.
• Supporting the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
• Providing recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff. Recommending and implementing courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively better organization.
• Assisting with staff scheduling. Managing all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
• Supporting proper inventory control and assisting with managing supplies and equipment.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
• Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• At least one year of hospital experience required.
