We are seeking a skilled CV Rad Technologist to join our team at Norman Regional Health System, a leading healthcare provider in the Oklahoma City metro area. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art cardiovascular program and contribute to delivering exceptional patient care.
About the PositionAs a CV Rad Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining equipment for cardiovascular procedures while providing patient care in a sterile environment. This role involves collaborating with a team of cardiologists and electrophysiologists, as well as training new staff and radiology students.
You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic team environment, contributing to the success of our cardiovascular program. Your expertise and skills will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our cath lab suites.
In this role, you will also have the chance to participate in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in cardiovascular technology and techniques.
Responsibilities- Preparation and Maintenance of Equipment: Prepare and maintain equipment for cardiovascular procedures, ensuring it is in optimal working condition.
- Patient Care: Provide patient care in a sterile environment, identifying and assessing patient conditions, preparing, positioning, and caring for patients as needed.
- Establishing and Maintaining a Sterile Environment: Establish and maintain a sterile environment during procedures, adhering to strict protocols to ensure patient safety.
- Professional Practice: Participate in ongoing professional development, staying current with industry developments and best practices.
- Training and Development: Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in the orientation of new staff.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree from an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program
- Registration as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with ACLS training required within 6 months of hire
- Previous experience working in a cath lab preferred, but not required
This role offers a competitive compensation package, including:
- A salary range of $27.84-$45.46 per hour, based on previous work experience
