About the Role

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a skilled Clinical Systems Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our clinical informatics group, you will play a critical role in implementing and supporting applications, working closely with end-users to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and support clinical applications, collaborating with users to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Analyze and document current and future needs, workflows, and regulatory requirements to inform application development and support.
  • Participate in planning, development, implementation, maintenance, support, and evaluation of clinical systems, including system design, documentation, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop strong relationships with nursing and clinical communities, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Contribute to team meetings, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve project goals.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have an Associate Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience in a clinical position. A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related field is preferred. You must also possess a current professional license or certification in your area of expertise.

In addition, you will need to obtain certification or proficiency in the assigned Epic application within 6 months of employment. National certification such as CPHIMS from HIMSS is highly valued.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary, ranging from $80,000 to $110,000 per year, depending on experience. The estimated annual salary for this position is $95,000.
