Role Summary:
The Kainalu Outdoor Activities Administrator plays a crucial role in supporting the operations of our outdoor sports team. This position requires a blend of strong organizational skills and a friendly demeanor, ensuring that all activities run smoothly and guests have an unforgettable experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Kainalu team with scheduling and managing reservations through our booking platform.
  • Communicate effectively with both pre-arrival and on-site concierge teams to facilitate activity bookings.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all Kainalu offerings and equipment rentals.
  • Oversee the retail operations of the surf shack, including inventory management and sales.
  • Handle guest check-ins and check-outs for activities, ensuring a seamless experience.
  • Implement a vibrant program of Hawaiian sports and outdoor activities that promote wellness and connection to nature.
  • Encourage guests to engage in physical activities that foster strength and appreciation for the Hawaiian culture and environment.
  • Ensure the Surf Shack and surrounding areas are clean and well-maintained, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Provide safety and security for guests utilizing ocean and outdoor facilities, monitoring conditions and alerting management to potential hazards.
  • Stay informed about emergency procedures and assist in coordinating safety measures for beach and pool areas.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in administrative tasks and familiar with Google Suite and hotel management systems.
  • Must be able to swim 50 yards and meet specific physical fitness requirements.
  • Prior experience in guest services, hospitality, or recreation is preferred.
  • Knowledge of fitness practices, including personal training or water sports, is advantageous.
  • Certification in First Aid, AED, and CPR is required.
  • Strong understanding of the Hawaiian Islands, including local attractions and cultural history.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a positive and motivated attitude.
