**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at New York City Health + Hospitals Correctional Health Services. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall mission of our organization.

**Key Responsibilities**
As a Physician Assistant with New York City Health + Hospitals Correctional Health Services, you will be responsible for:
- Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses in a correctional health setting
- Evaluating patients requesting sick call and scheduling follow-ups
- Completing comprehensive histories and physicals on new admissions
- Documenting problem lists, diagnoses, orders, and medication management
- Implementing plans for patient care utilizing approved protocols and treatment plans
- Requesting radiology exams, lab tests, and interpreting results as needed
- Reviewing specialty consults and hospital returns to ensure standard of care is met
- Performing chart reviews and summaries for patients transferring facilities
- Generating special needs referrals and documentation as needed
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A current New York State registration as a Physician Assistant
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications
- Infection Control Certification
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Flexible disposition and ability to adapt to changing priorities
**Salary and Benefits**
We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, based on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
