Job Summary
At Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), we are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse II for our Transplant Clinic. As part of our team, you will provide exceptional care to transplant patients and their families, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver consistent and cost-effective care.Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients undergoing transplantation surgery• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
• Conduct thorough assessments, identify patient needs, and provide education on post-transplant care and self-management
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, adhering to MUSC’s standards for documentation and confidentiality
Requirements
• Licensure: Active RN licensure in South Carolina or a compact state• Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, either American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider
• Education: Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred; RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013, with an Associate or Diploma degree in nursing, required to be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two years and successfully obtain a BSN degree within four years of the RN hire or reclassification date
