Job Description

The IT Asset Analyst works closely with the IT Software Asset Program Manager to oversee software licensing and entitlements. This involves collaborating to create reports for compliance and usage of software, which will be used for software harvesting and internal audits. They will work with IT Application owners to identify the appropriate software for incoming software requests. Additionally, they will help enforce existing and newly created policies and procedures related to IT Asset Management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage incoming IT Work orders assigned to IT Asset Management.
  • Monitor software licensing compliance, software usage, and current software install base to identify areas of inefficiency and recommend changes or improvements.
  • Interact with other departments and/or outside vendors to create, maintain, communicate, and validate IT Asset Management processes.
  • Work with vendors to provide licensing quotes as needed.
  • Create and document reports to assist in decision-making relevant to IT Asset Management processes and policies.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the major computer systems used by Flagstar Bank as well as the products and services offered by the Bank.
  • Analyze licensing levels and recommend changes for greater efficiency and cost control.
  • Assist in the development of software standards to be used within the Bank.
  • Assist in ensuring the completion of assignments within defined time-lines, budget controls, and quality standards.
  • Supply hardware inventory reporting and other reports as needed for the IT department.
  • Provide support and be cross-trained to assist IT Reporting and IT Budgeting functions.
Additional Accountabilities
  • Perform special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Consistently adhere to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
