Early Childhood Education Ambassador

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Early Childhood Education Ambassador to join our team at Greene County Schools. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement Kindergarten Readiness program elements for Family Readiness, including recruitment, "Play and Learn" groups, and "Parent Academy Workshops"
  • Support access to early learning resources and materials through the Bookworm Program
  • Hold Family Conferences with enrolled caregivers/children to discuss progress, goals, and strategies for kindergarten readiness
  • Conduct assessments with enrolled caregivers/children using Ages and Stages-3 and Environmental Screening Questionnaire
  • Provide information and support to program participants on local kindergarten readiness expectations and facilitate transition planning conferences
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in early childhood education and community engagement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including families, schools, and community organizations
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of $62,000 per year, plus benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off. This is a full-time position that requires a high school diploma or equivalent and relevant experience in early childhood education.
