We are seeking a skilled Irrigation Technician to join our team at the Dismal River Club, a premier destination in Nebraska. As a key member of our maintenance staff, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining complex irrigation systems across our 27,000 sq/ft property.

Job Summary

This is a full-time or part-time opportunity (seasonal) with competitive hourly pay ranging from $19 to $25 based on experience. We offer one meal per shift and unlimited golf privileges upon supervisor approval.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive irrigation schedules for golf courses and grounds as needed.
  • Maintain and repair mechanical and electrical components of irrigation systems.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on equipment associated with irrigation.
  • Accurately record and submit all required reports related to irrigation equipment maintenance.
  • Train and supervise staff assigned to assist with irrigation duties.
  • Manage inventory and control expenses associated with irrigation equipment and activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient course setup and other maintenance procedures.
  • Foster an Integrated Pest Management approach in the care of our property.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least three years' experience in golf course maintenance and irrigation or similar fields.
  • Demonstrated excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to analyze problems, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently under pressure.
  • A positive attitude, professional demeanor, and appearance are essential in all situations.

This position involves supervising personnel assigned to assist with irrigation tasks.
