Job Summary:

As a PRN Athletic Trainer with Covenant Health, you will provide athletic training services for a specified location as part of our community outreach program. This role requires the ability to respond to emergency medical situations, render an analysis on the situation/injury, and administer appropriate medical care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides athletic training services for a specified location as part of Covenant Health's community outreach program.
  • Demonstrates and executes the required skills and knowledge by responding to emergency medical situations, rendering an analysis on the situation/injury, and administering appropriate medical care.
  • Maintains accurate records of injuries and treatments, and provides reporting feedback in a timely manner.
  • Completes all documentation and reports in a timely manner.
  • Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Completes required education assignments annually.
  • Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education:

No specific education requirements are specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.


Minimum Experience:
No experience required.

Licensure Requirement:

Must have and maintain Tennessee State licensure as an athletic trainer and Board of Certification (BOC) certification for the Athletic Trainer.

CPR/BLS certifications preferred.
