Environmental Impact Planner

A Senior NEPA Planner is required to support infrastructure and energy projects across the East Coast. This role involves leading multi-disciplinary teams, providing planning advice, and carrying out state and federal environmental review.
Key Responsibilities:- Guide the NEPA planning process, overseeing client contact, budget control, invoicing, schedule management, personnel allocation, public interest facilitation, technical approach, and subcontractor involvement.
- Coordinate with clients, regulatory/resource agencies, and local governments.
- Manage technical studies and ecological resource assessments, including socio-economic analyses, wetland delineations, habitat assessments, and natural resource surveys.
- Perform research, conduct environmental analyses (field and desktop), develop recommendations, and prepare technical reports under NEPA.
- Prepare NEPA documentation, including environmental impact statements (EISs), Environmental Assessments (EAs), Categorical Exclusions (CEs).
- Ensure quality assurance and quality control for all final products, ensuring technical accurateness and regulatory compliance.
- Assist in proposal preparation and other marketing endeavors.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience, including NEPA specific projects.
- Thorough understanding of technical environmental impact analysis methods and sound knowledge of NEPA requirements and related environmental regulations.
- Team-oriented with strong capability to motivate others.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with experience presenting at public workshops and facilitating meetings with regulatory/resource agencies.
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks to achieve goals while adapting to a highly mobile and changing environment.
- Must be a collaborative problem-solver with stakeholders, clients, and teammates.
- Must have proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
