About the Job

This EHS Specialist position is based in Santa Clara, CA, and works out of the Abbott Vascular Division. Our medical devices help more than 10,000 people have healthier hearts, improve quality of life for thousands of people living with chronic pain and movement disorders, and liberate more than 500,000 people with diabetes from routine fingersticks. Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for the treatment of vascular disease.

The successful candidate will work without appreciable supervision, leading and supporting environmental programs and assisting in the development, implementation, and monitoring of programs/policies/practices to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and effective injury and illness prevention programs. The core job responsibilities include coordinating and leading environmental compliance activities, programs, and prevention efforts, as well as supporting EHS programs in performing environmental analyses, training, workplace incident investigations, inspections, and internal audits as directed.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Bachelors Degree in environmental studies, health sciences, or an equivalent academic field. You should also have experience working in a broader enterprise/cross division business unit model, with solid leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide positive and constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results. Additionally, you should be able to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment, multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a timely manner. Good organizational, planning, and follow-up skills, as well as the ability to hold others accountable, are essential for this role. You should also be able to travel approximately 10% as needed and maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Compensation Package

The estimated salary for this position is between $55,200.00 and $110,400.00, depending on location. This figure may vary in specific locations.
