As a Clinical Service Leader RN-Trauma/General Surgery, you will be part of our Professional Nursing Team in Surgical Services at Tufts Medical Center. Our team offers a dynamic and supportive work environment, with opportunities for professional growth and development. We have 23 ORs with 1 Hybrid OR, providing a range of surgical specialties, including transplant, robotic surgery, and trauma.
We offer flexible scheduling, including days, evenings, and 8–12-hour shifts, as well as self-scheduling opportunities and individualized orientation programs. Our team is committed to providing high-quality patient care and promoting a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement nursing staff development programs to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with the Department of Surgery to provide education and support to staff, physicians, and patients.
- Integrate knowledge, research findings, and experience to enhance nursing practice and promote excellence in patient care.
- Maintain flexibility and adapt to a variety of workload assignments.
- Use expert clinical skills to provide ongoing assessment and evaluation of nursing care.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Two (2) years of nursing experience with one year in clinical specialty.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three (3) years of nursing experience with one year in clinical specialty.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking.
- Lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfer patients and equipment.
- Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching.
- Frequent exposure to hazardous chemicals, sick patients, bodily substances, noise, and possible exposure to radiation, lasers, electric shock, etc.
Skills & Abilities:
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work independently and utilize time management concepts to maximize time efficiency.
