Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Refrigeration Specialist to join our team at Shaw's Supermarkets in Cape Cod, MA.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of recent experience performing refrigeration service and maintenance work in building-related trades. The successful applicant will be responsible for monitoring building equipment for safety purposes and repairing any issues that arise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily mechanical checks on equipment in the Mechanical Room, Roof, HVAC, EMS systems, refrigerated cases, and walk-ins.
  • Maintain all refrigeration, HVAC, EMS systems, electrical, and mechanical systems and make necessary repairs.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks, leak checks, inspections, and record required information.
  • Monitor preventive maintenance work done by outside contractors and notify the Refrigeration Manager of any issues.
  • Troubleshoot refrigeration, HVAC, mechanical, and electrical problems, perform repairs, document solutions, and recommend further action.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent; graduation from a building-related vocational technical program is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and EPA Section 608 Universal refrigerant Certification are required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as proficiency in computer software and tools.
  • Able to lift, pull, push, stoop, bend, twist, and reach, with manual labor being an essential part of the job.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
